I ...I really loved seeing District 9 in the cinema. I think the possible perception of slowness at the beginning was due to the strange mix of presentation: a docu/mocumentary that blends into an action film. But I think it worked.Sophie Playlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937622260333202138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109955980329789216.post-63912750239713660002009-08-27T06:23:17.386+10:002009-08-27T06:23:17.386+10:00Other than I disagree with you over the best Alien...Other than I disagree with you over the best Alien film (it's all about part 2, Aliens!!!!), I wholeheartedly agree with you on District 9. I LOVED this movie. I still think Star Trek is my fave of the summer, but D9 is a close second. It's everything I wanted from Transformers and Terminator, only infinitely better. Great action, great story, great acting (Wickers was awesome). I loved it.Theahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11138984974139025278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109955980329789216.post-77231714856892548872009-08-26T14:24:16.489+10:002009-08-26T14:24:16.489+10:00I actually had to Google Gerard Butler because I d...I actually had to Google Gerard Butler because I didn't know who he was! That looks AWESOME. Do I sound biased? I probably am...Ceceliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02249223364936344560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109955980329789216.post-58406510333795464872009-08-26T09:01:52.889+10:002009-08-26T09:01:52.889+10:00Hmm, my older-man-love has to go to Daniel Craig a...Hmm, my older-man-love has to go to Daniel Craig and Clive Owen. They're dreamy.

Anyway - so glad you liked D9

and *BOTH HANDS UP AND WAVING THEM AROUND WILDLY*
I looooved The Island. Funny you should mention it - I was going to do a post today with a youtube video of one of my favourite songs ever - I think it was created for that movie, but has since been used in Elizabeth-the Golden Age with Cate Blanchett and I think also Will Smith's Seven Pounds, and maybe a few others...I'll still post it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109955980329789216.post-47226512008167001462009-08-26T08:05:10.675+10:002009-08-26T08:05:10.675+10:00I heard that this was kinda slow at the beginning ...I heard that this was kinda slow at the beginning and the ending made you want there to be a second one but I'll have to see it for myself. And I like to think it's not just because it had a cat, hehe. Near the end I was yelling at the screen "Ridley! The cat! Don't forget your cat!!" Poor thing gets suckered in the second one though...Rhiannon Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03611927348379723038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109955980329789216.post-73391408024385209302009-08-26T07:31:49.455+10:002009-08-26T07:31:49.455+10:00I hadn't heard anything about District 9 (yep,...I hadn't heard anything about District 9 (yep, sometimes I live under a rock) but it sounds fascinating. I live for 'disturbing'.

(I think the scene you're referring to is in Alien Resurrection, which is 4th in the series and probably my favourite.)Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483030255023873716noreply@blogger.com
