Writing Advice #4: Recombining Ideas

I've been over at the Inside a Dog blog all month posting about books and writing. Today I've put up some wordy goodness about recombining ideas to create plots and to read all about it you'll have to go here.

Beware the dog. He slobbers. Wuff!

  1. Hi. This is going to be incredibly random, but bear with me! I work in a book store and a while back I was working when one of my colleagues asked me "Rhiannon, what is your last name?" and, confused as to why she was asking, I replied "Hart, why?" only to discover that at the time, she was processing a book by none other than you! Now, I thought this was pretty hilarious to be honest, first of all because how random is it that someone in the world has your exact name, right? But then to realise that said person who shares your name is a published author? Well, I have to admit I was a tad shocked (and simultaneously amused) because my whole life all I've wanted to do is write books and lo and behold, there's now already a published author with my name!

So - naturally - I had to buy your book from work the other day (both for the novelty of having a book with my name on the front cover and because it sounded cool) and I just want to congratulate you on being published and for a great first novel!

Anyway, I just thought I'd jump on and say hi because I couldn't resist getting in contact with another Rhiannon Hart! Looking forward to the next book! :)

  2. Hi Rhiannon! That is so funny!! I knew there were be other Rhiannon Harts in Australia (there's one who's a singer in Brisbane) but one who wants to be a writer too, that's awesome. Sorry for already taking the name though! I am glad you liked the book :)
